WATER TREATMENT PLANT GROUND BREAKING!!!
On Wednesday, June 3, 2015 the Board of Directors celebrated a Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Water Treatment Plant. The Water Treatment plant is being built to reduce the manganese and iron in the water. This will eliminate the costly all-clear treatments. The Ground Breaking Ceremony was held at the site – 4307 Anvil Drive (near the intersection of Flagstone and Anvil) and was a huge success. The Board of Directors, CCMD Staff, and County leaders (Patricia St. Louis from Fountain City Council; Kari Parsons from El Paso County Development Services; Tom Strand and Bill Murray from Colorado Springs City Council; House District 15 Representative Gordon Klingenschmitt; Jim Heckman from Lower Fountain; etc.) were in attendance. In all there were 50-75 attendees. T-Bone Construction gave a presentation on the Water Treatment Plant Project which was very informative. Thank you to all who gave their support and attended the Ground Breaking Ceremony!
